Introduction

The Department of Recreation Management was founded in 2010. The department offers a Bachelor’s degree program in Recreation Management.  The main objective of the program is to train qualified employees, middle and upper level managers for the tourism industry by providing  contemporary, scientific and qualified training and education. In line with this objective, the students are equipped with various competencies such as a foreign language (English, German or French), information technologies, the knowledge and skills related to tourism industry, the recreation enterprises and contemporary business and management.

The duration of the program is 4 years. The first year of the program is carried out under the same curriculum with other departments of the Faculty of Tourism. In the second, third and fourth years of the program, the students are equipped with both theoretical and practical courses that are specific to their field. Each year, a total of 80 students are admitted to the program.

Students, who have successfully graduated from the Department of Recreation Management, can be employed, who can be middle and senior managers, in recreation business, themed parks and can managed other tourism facilities.
